Golf d’Arras

La Vallée is Arras’ championship course, a technical 18-hole layout of hills and water that hosted the Ladies French Open.

Golf d’Arras was created in 1990 at Anzin-Saint-Aubin. Jean-Claude Cornillot designed two courses, with La Vallée soon selected for the Ladies French Open. The Ladies European Tour event returned repeatedly between 1996 and 2009, establishing a strong sporting reputation. The course lies in a green valley minutes from central Arras. Hills, streams, ponds and planting structure the landscape. Elevation changes create varied views and alter effective distance.

Cornillot uses water and elevation as principal strategic elements. Fairways alternate open lines with tighter passages. Greens are defended by bunkers and water, and several holes require precise aerial shots. La Vallée measures 6,117 metres and plays to par 72. It has championship length, but the real challenge comes from varied lies, water and construction of green approaches.
