Red is Fourqueux’s shortest loop, but doglegs, a lily pond and compact greens probably make it the most delicate around the targets.

Red is one of the three physical loops created during Fourqueux’s modern reorganisation. Its shorter format completes White or Blue in official combinations and can also be played independently. Improvements around 2000 strengthened water and modernised parts of the course. Red crosses an especially decorative part of the estate, with weeping elm, magnolia, alder beside the lily pond, sequoia and cedar. Strong contour and vegetation create botanical-garden character.

The loop measures approximately 2,637 metres and plays around par 35. Shorter distances invite attack, but doglegs and compact greens reduce margin. Water at the sixth and trees close to tees require controlled flight. Combined with White, Red forms a par-71 course of approximately 5,376 metres on current cards. Historic loop distances differ slightly after tee changes, so the Atlas marks the standalone metric as approximate.
