Golf Club Hubbelrath

The East Course is part of North Rhine-Westphalia's golfing heritage and reflects the development of golf around Düsseldorf. Located in Düsseldorf, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, this course is set in a wooded park where fairways are drawn between trees, bunkers, and water features, complemented by undulating terrain that multiplies sloping lies and elevation changes. It should be presented not as a mere destination, but as a golfing experience unique to Germany, with its history, architectural choices, relationship to the landscape, and the decisions it imposes on the player. The Round selects the East Course for the singularity of its architecture, history, or territory. The East Course is located in Düsseldorf, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. The course unfolds within a wooded park where playing lines are shaped by trees, bunkers, and water features, further enhanced by rolling terrain that creates numerous sloping lies and elevation changes. This geographical interpretation must be supplemented by the exact nature of the soil, altitude, predominant exposure, winds, vegetation, visible landscapes, and the influence of seasons on playing conditions.

Founded in 1961, Hubbelrath opened the East Course in 1964 to a design by Bernhard von Limburger. Howard Swan later extended and modernised the layouts.

The course leverages its parkland/hillside environment to define angles, obstacles, and green approaches. The course comprises 18 holes, with a par of 72, and measures approximately 6500 meters from the back tees.

The two-course club has a major championship and German team-golf tradition.
