Golf Club Föhr

Championship Course is part of Schleswig-Holstein's golfing heritage, reflecting the development of golf around Nieblum. Located in Nieblum, in the Schleswig Holstein region, this course is set on linksland shaped by wind, sand, and the ground game, complemented by a coastal environment exposed to sea winds. It should be presented not merely as a destination, but as a unique German golf experience, with its history, architectural choices, relationship to the landscape, and the decisions it demands of the player. The Round selects Championship Course for the singularity of its architecture, its history, and its territory. Championship Course is located in Nieblum, in the Schleswig Holstein region of Germany. Golf on Föhr dates to 1925. The present site opened in the early 1970s, expanded to eighteen holes in 1990 and twenty-seven in 2009. Christian Althaus completed several major reconstruction phases by 2023.

The course utilizes its links/coastal environment to dictate angles, hazards, and green approaches. The course features 18 holes, with a par of 72, and measures approximately 6200 meters from the championship tees.

The century-old club now combines historic identity with a substantially modernised coastal course.
