Pontarlier

Pontarlier is a 5,049-metre par-69 mountain course organised in three distinct sections: Jura valley, technical plateau and open Haut-Doubs ground.

Albert Sauvonnet founded the first nine in 1997 and the course expanded to eighteen holes in 2005. Later management modernised the clubhouse and visitor experience. The first six holes occupy a fir-lined Jura combe, the next section a precision plateau, and the back nine more open varied ground.

Forest corridors demand straight driving, the plateau rewards position, and the short sidehill eighteenth requires a good tee angle. The official site publishes 5,049 metres and par 69. Altitude, slopes and changing character add difficulty beyond distance.
