At a glance
Arc-en-Barrois is a 3,075-metre par-36 nine by Jean Garaïalde within one of Haute-Marne’s major forest estates. Two ponds, a river, thirty-two bunkers and doglegs create strong technical variety.
History
The course opened in 1987 at Arc-en-Barrois. Jean Garaïalde integrated woodland, natural water and forest perspectives into a human-scale member club known for technical character and warm welcome. Gently rolling fairways lie deep within a large forest estate around one hour from Troyes. Two ponds, a river, wildlife and dense woodland provide genuine immersion.
Architecture
Two par threes, five par fours and two par fives use narrow fairways and doglegs. Thirty-two bunkers and water protect greens. The pond-carry sixth is a signature image. The official club publishes 3,075 metres and par 36. Some recent cards list about 2,974 metres from different markers. Repeating the loop does not create another physical course.
