Golf Club am Reichswald

Championship Course is part of Bavaria's golfing heritage and reflects the development of golf around Nuremberg. Located in Nuremberg, in the Bavaria region, this course is set within a wooded terrain where precision from the tee is paramount. It should be presented not merely as a destination, but as a unique German golfing experience, encompassing its history, architectural choices, relationship with the landscape, and the decisions it demands from the player. The club moved to the Reichswald site in 1961. The first holes opened in 1963, nine were complete in 1964 and the full eighteen in 1974. Thomas Himmel later redesigned several bunkers.

The course leverages its woodland environment to orchestrate angles, hazards, and approaches to the greens. The course features 18 holes, with a par of 72, and measures approximately 6100 meters from the championship tees.

The club combines regional history, a modernised clubhouse and strong environmental management.
