At a glance
L’Épervier is Villennes-sur-Seine’s main course, an accessible gently rolling par-70 inland layout known for doglegs and strongly sloping greens.
History
Golf opened in 1987 with an initial nine holes on the Villennes heights and expanded to eighteen in 1990. It developed as a public western Paris venue with strong coaching, family and open-competition orientation.
The course lies twenty minutes from La Défense in a green Yvelines setting. Ground is gently rolling with open sectors, planting and some water. Fairways are relatively broad, but contour affects bounce and angle.
Architecture
The routing includes four par threes, two par fives and twelve par fours. Numerous doglegs demand correct fairway side. Strongly sloping greens make iron play more important than driving power.
Current FFGolf tables publish 5,581 metres, par 70, men’s SSS 69. 2 and Slope 126. The front nine measures 2,848 metres and the back 2,733.
Club experience
Villennes offers a very large range with more than eighty mats, putting green, pitching greens, practice bunkers, restaurant, terrace and seminar room. The six-hole Colibri compact is outside the Atlas main scope.
