Golf Bluegreen Saint-Aubin

Le Mesnil is Saint-Aubin’s main course, created in 1974 as one of France’s pioneering public golf projects with a founding commitment to accessibility.

Emmanuel Veillas launched Saint-Aubin in 1974 to preserve land around the CEA while creating open golf. Michel Riot helped design the first course and Robert Berthet later continued its development. Modest beginnings gradually evolved into a modern public facility. The course occupies the Saclay plateau beside the Chevreuse Valley. Open gently rolling land remains exposed to wind, with mature planting and broad agricultural views.

Two par fives, four par threes and twelve par fours combine accessible fairways with doglegs, trees and defended greens. The design supports progression while remaining technical from the back tees. FFGolf publishes 5,494 metres, par 70, men’s SSS 69. 3 and Slope 131. The front nine measures 2,968 metres and the back 2,526.

The venue welcomes more than 70,000 people annually and combines 18-, 9- and 6-hole formats, a major practice facility, dining, pro shop, seminars and academy. 18 holes; par 70; 5,494 metres by FFGolf; opened in 1974; pioneering public golf; SSS 69. 3; Slope 131.
