Golf Bluegreen Houlgate

Beuzeval is a varied Normandy course created in 1981 within a former landscaped park, moving from lake and hedges through bocage to a panoramic hilltop.

The golf opened in 1981 between Cabourg and Deauville. Specialist sources credit British figures Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss. The course occupies the former Château de Beuzeval park and later developed within Bluegreen. Three opening holes surround water, followed by rolling hedge-lined fairways, Normandy bocage and a climb to a panoramic hilltop. Landscape variety is the signature.

Water demands early accuracy, hedges tighten middle sections and higher holes reintroduce wind and open views. An unusual mixture of par threes and fives produces par 71. Back tees measure 5,832 metres, par 71, men’s SSS 72. 1 and Slope 137. White tees measure 5,416 metres with SSS 69. 5 and Slope 130.
