Golf Barrière Saint-Julien

Le Vallon is Saint-Julien’s main course, a 6,035-metre par 72 overlooking the Touques valley, welcoming on the front nine and more demanding on the return.

Saint-Julien was developed near Pont-l’Évêque and Deauville in the late 1980s. Specialist sources associate the design with Alain Pratt and Bill Baker. It later became part of Barrière’s Côte Fleurie golf offer. The course overlooks the Touques valley through half-timbered farms, apple trees, hedges, meadow and rolling Pays d’Auge land. Lower sectors are sheltered; higher holes feel more wind.

The front nine offers birdie opportunities, while the back uses more elevation, water and defended greens. Fairways are readable but correct side becomes important. Barrière publishes 6,035 metres and par 72. The changing character between nines demands patience and precision.
