At a glance
Vignoly is France’s only Arnold Palmer-signed course, a long rolling championship layout with fourteen water features and extensive bunkering.
History
Domaine de Crécy commissioned the Arnold Palmer Design Company in the early 1990s. The unique French signature created a tournament-scale course supported by multiple tees, hotel and training facilities. The course covers a 110-hectare natural estate of valleys, orchards, woodland and water close to Disneyland Paris. Elevation and wind strongly influence distance.
Architecture
Palmer created dramatic target golf with large bunkers, expansive greens, double fairways on selected par fives and visible water. Width provides choices, but preferred lines approach danger. FFGolf back tees publish 6,329 metres and par 74, SSS 74. 2 and Slope 143. Five par fives and extensive water create distinctive rhythm.
Club experience
The estate includes hotel, lodges, panoramic restaurant, pool, tennis, TrackMan range and a neighbouring animal park. Visitors are welcomed year-round. 18 holes; par 74 from FFGolf back tees; 6,329 metres; France’s only Arnold Palmer design; fourteen water features; Slope 143.
