Amendoeira Faldo — Nick Faldo demanding strategic thought across Algarve hills

The layout traverses the hills, olive groves, carob trees, streams, and dry terrain characteristic of the Algarve's interior.

The Faldo Course opened in 2008 as part of the Amendoeira Golf Resort. Nick Faldo designed a demanding course that prioritizes shot placement and thoughtful strategy over mere fairway width.

Faldo employed deep bunkers, significant elevation changes, and diagonal angles. Landing areas are often visible, but the optimal portion of the fairway frequently requires challenging an obstacle.

The course is physically demanding and more rigorous than the O'Connor Jnr. Its elevated greens and long transitions enhance its championship character.

Amendoeira offers two championship courses, a floodlit nine-hole course, an academy, a driving range, apartments, dining options, and sports facilities.
