Abama — Dave Thomas’s spectacular course on Tenerife’s volcanic slopes

The course is set on volcanic slopes overlooking the Atlantic, with sweeping views towards La Gomera, framed by palm trees, banana plants, and subtropical vegetation.

Opened in 2005, Abama was designed by Dave Thomas within the Guía de Isora resort.

Thomas masterfully blends significant elevation changes with dazzling white bunkers, artificial lakes, and terraced greens. The course is highly visual and meticulously designed.

The round is long, physically demanding, and often spectacular, particularly from the elevated teeing grounds.
